PURPOSE:To execute diagnosis by a single CPU board in a multi-CPU board provided with no ROM for CPU. CONSTITUTION:This method is comprised in such a way that a boot ROM 4 including a diagnostic program is provided in only a CPU 1 that is a main unit, and the diagnostic program is transferred from a common RAM 5 or 6 to CPUs 2, 3 sequentially, and an operation to start up the next CPU is repeated by generating a reset signal after transfer, and when environment to start up the diagnostic programs in all the CPUs is prepared, a diagnostic command can be sent from an external data terminal 10 to the CPU 1. |
