The tap comprises a handle (10) which is turned to control the flow by means of two rollers (4,5) acting on a flexible tube (1) to squeeze it flat or release it. The tube is made from silicone, and the rollers are connected to a drive mechanism with a return spring which has a force greater than the tube's coefficient of elasticity. The handle can be connected to a rotary plate with curved guides of decreasing radius to convert the rotary movement of the plate into a reciprocating movement of the rollers so they can be moved together or apart. USE/ADVANTAGE - Reduced number of components, with only tube in contact with liquid.
