The method of fabrication of a piece (1) includes steps of providing strapping supports (8,9) at each end of the piece and permanently bending the piece to the required shape by a forming tool. The piece is then placed in a slot (11) of a holder (10) and is held down by strapping plates (12,13) acting on the supports (8,9). This action straightens out the piece with a constraint that is below the elastic limit of the piece. This allows the straightened part of the piece (16,17) to be machined by broaching. In removing the piece from its restraint, it elastically returns to its original shape. Use/Advantage - For the machining by broaching of a piece with a complex shape which is carried out by a simple machining operation.
