PURPOSE:To provide the head core having high hardness and good wear resistance by laminating 12 kinds of core pieces varying in magnetic characteristics, thereby forming the laminated magnetic head core. CONSTITUTION:This laminated magnetic head core 1 is constituted of U-shaped core pieces 2 consisting of a compsn. contg., for example, 9.6wt.% Si, 5.4wt.% Al and the balance Fe and U-shaped core pieces 3 consisting of a compsn. contg., for example, 17.5wt.% Si, 4.1wt.% Co, 2.0wt.% Cr, 0.5wt.% Ru and the balance Fe. These core pieces 2, 3 are laminated in the transverse (t) direction of the laminated magnetic head core 1. By combining the core pieces 2 consisting of the Fe-Si-Al alloy and the core pieces 3 consisting of the Fe-Si- Co-Cr-Ru alloys varying in the magnetic characteristics, the laminated magnetic head core 1 having the characteristics possessed by both alloys 2, 3 is obtd. The good recording and reproducing are executed and the magnetic head core having the good wear resistance is obtd. by selecting the alloys 2, 3 having the magnetic characteristics meeting a magnetic recording system according to the desired characteristics, is obtd. |
