PURPOSE:To provide the multiplier which can be operated by a constant-voltage, and is suitable for a high frequency operation. CONSTITUTION:Bipolar transistors Q1 and Q2, Q3 and Q4 are differential pairs driven by a constant-current source I0, respectively, and by connecting each collector of Q1 and Q4 and each collector of Q2 and Q3, respectively, a differential output terminal is constituted, an offset voltage VK is applied by the same polarity between bases of Q1 and Q3 and between bases of Q4 and Q2, and a differential output current being proportional to a square of a voltage V1 applied between bases of Q1 and Q4 is obtained. Accordingly, by combining two pieces, moreover four pieces of square circuits thereof, a desired multiplier is obtained. In this case, each differential pair is arranged in one horizontal line, operated by the same power source, and also, each transistor is constituted of that of the minimum unit. |
