CIRCUIT AND DEVICE FOR COMPENSATING MOTION

PURPOSE:To compensate the motion of image data by simple circuit constitution. CONSTITUTION:A rearranging circuit 30 rearranges image data read out from a frame memory circuit 8 by block scanning so that image data corresponding to respective blocks in a motion compensation retrieving range are simultaneously obtained. A selector 41 switchably selects one of image data obtained from respective blocks in the circuit 30. A memory circuit 42 stores the image data selected by the selector 41. A control circuit 50 controls the selector 41 and the memory circuit 42 based upon a motion vector supplied from a motion detecting circuit 10.
