<p>PURPOSE:To provide a variable resistor capable of automatically assembling at low cost and to decrease the number of parts handed in assembling step in relation to the variable resistor mainly used for main volume control, intermediate volume control of audio system such as head phone stereo, etc. CONSTITUTION:A metal fitting 8, a gland terminal 1, output terminals 2a, 2b, input terminals 3a, 3b are integrally provided on a hooped metallic sheet to be fitted with a resistor substrate 4 and then respective terminals excluding the gland terminal 1 are cut off furthermore, a knob 7 fitted with brushes 6a, 6b is rotatably fixed through the intermediary of the resistor substrate 4 to complete the variable resistor. Through these procedures, the gland terminal 1 can be integrated with the metal fitting 8 which is handled as the hooped metallic sheet integrated with the output terminals 2a, 2b, input terminals 3a, 3b, etc., halfway in the assembling step thereby enabling the mass productivity to be enhanced.</p> |
