<p>PURPOSE: To easily and surely remove original jams by releasing pressures by providing an original jam removing device which can secure a fixed interval between a platen roller and a contact-type image sensor and can stop in a pressure-releasing state by utilizing cams and, even when the pinch roller is used, can simultaneously release the pressure. CONSTITUTION: An original jam removing device is provided with contact image sensor brackets 8 and 8' in which outward-projecting pins 8a and 8a' and supporting pieces 8b and 8b' are integrally formed, plate springs 14 which are fixed to a main frame 15 and apply appropriate pressures between a platen roller 7 and a contact image sensor 6, cams 11 and 11' which are inserted into both ends of a shaft 10 which is supported through the main frame and rotates the sensor 6 in a state where the cams 11 and 11' come into contact with the supporting pieces 8b and 8b', and a lever 12 which is fixed so that the lever 12 may be interlocked with the cams 11 and 11'.</p> |
