DYNAMIC PICTURE CODING/DECODING DEVICE

摘要

PURPOSE:To generate coded data with a high bit rate which can be reproduced even by a dynamic picture decoding device constituted so as to input coded data with a low bit rate. CONSTITUTION:A coding means 1 for low speed transmission executes the subsampling and blocking of inputted image data by a preprocessing means and the block data of an odd numbered field are coded by an image coding means as coded data for low speed transmission. A coding means 2 for high speed transmission codes the block data of an even numbered field from the preprocessing means as additional data for high speed transmission. A data multiplexing means 3 multiplexes the coded data for low speed transmission and for high speed transmission sent at the same bit rate every fixed volume and outputs coded data at twice the bit rate of respective data.
