PURPOSE:To allow starting front two-phase excited state after any temporary stop by interrupting excitation of a step motor if it is in single-phase excited state whereas interrupting excitation of step motor in two-phase excited state after making transition to single-phase excitation. CONSTITUTION:Upon receiving a drive command for a step motor 7, a memory controller 4 determines excited state of the step motor 7 based on the content stored in an excited state memory 8. If the step motor 7 is in single-phase excited state, excitation is interrupted immediately to stop the step motor 7. If the step motor 7 is in two-phase excited state, transition is made to single- phase excitation before excitation is interrupted. This constitution allows the step motor 7 to be started from two-phase excited state after any temporary stop. |
