PURPOSE: To provide safety system and method for preventing reverse development of an IC, i.e., illegal copy or use of an IC, without requiring any additional step in which analysis of circuitry is very difficult. CONSTITUTION: Circuit elements 2S, 4S; 2D, 4D; and 10D, 12S doped with identical conductivity type are interconnected not through a metallization but through doped implanted parts 20, 22 and 24 in a substrate in order to protect an integrated circuit against reverse development. The doped circuit elements and the implanted interconnection are formed by a general fabrication process using a general implantation mask 28 such that the implanted interconnection has an impurity concentration similar to that of the doped circuit elements. |
