PURPOSE:To make an effective use of a radio channel and a base station equipment and to shorten incoming delay time by notifying the call state of a communication line from the base station side to a mobile station and displaying the received call state of the communication line to be notified in the mobile station. CONSTITUTION:A switchboard notifies the line state to the base station side, for example only when it is changed. When the switchboard receives an incoming signal of 16Hz from a PSTN, the line state is changed so that a LINECH2 is sent to the base station. The base station sends the line state of the LINECH1 from a call state notification section 101 with the use of a common control channel until it accepts the LINECH2. The base station accepts the LINECH2 from the exchange and stores its line state, and then the line state is notified to the mobile station via a common control channel. In the mobile station, when the LINECH2 from the base station is received by the call state reception section 102 during receiving the common control channel, the display of the line state is performed by a call state display section 103.
