The cutting device (11), such as a microtome blade, effects fine cuts in tablets, granules, and similar items (3). It involves a base (1), on which e.g. a tablet are fixed with its largest part extending freely upwards. Components (6,7,8) cause the base to rotate with the tablet placed and fixed (2) in the rotation centre. The cutting tool is linearly movable at right-angles to the rotation axis until it comes in contact with the tablet during its rotation. It successively penetrates towards the rotation axis, forming a cut passing around the tablet. The cutting tool is movable forwards and backwards, locating against a support ring (9), in the open centre of which the tablet is placed, and a ring plate (10) is loosely fitted, w.r.t. which the cutting tool is located during its movement and which positions the cutting tool level relative to the tablets. |
