<p>PURPOSE: To provide an electrical connector for interconnecting between printed circuit boards which has a simple structure and provides a reliable connection. CONSTITUTION: An electric connector is provided with a first pressure table 28 and a second pressure table 35 having an outer surface normal thereto, which are both held by a housing 11, and a first and a second springs 30, 44 which bias the first and second pressure tables 28, 35 respectively. This connector is further provided with a plurality of contacts 56 of a first array provided in a part positioned on an outer surface of the first pressure table 28 near one edge part and a plurality of contacts 59 of a second array provided in a part extending on an outer surface of the second pressure table near the end part opposite thereto. Furthermore, this connector is provided with a flexible circuit 46 having a plurality of conductors for interconnecting these contacts 55, 59. This connector is characterized in that electrical connection is formed by coupling the contacts 56 with contacts on a printed circuit board and by coupling the contacts 59 with contacts of another connector.</p> |
