<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the resolusion of coordinate position data without increasing the read pattern of a measurement electrode by alternately detecting an input position, an X coordinate position and the Y coordinate position by time division based on first and second voltage signals. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 14 has a microprocessor (CPU) 15 and calculates position information consisting of the X axis coordinate and the Y axis coordinate of an input position P by a digital signal outputted from an A/D converting circuit 13. In this case, the control circuit 14 controls switches XG, XV and the switches YG and YV by time division and alternately detects the X axis coordinate position and the Y axis coordinate position of the input position by time division. That is, the control circuit 14 controls the switches XG, XV, YG and YV, inputs the first voltage signal from the mesurement electrode C having the short wiring distance of the second transparent electrode, input the second voltage signal from the measurement electrode D having the short wiring distance of the first transparent electrode and alternately detects the X coordinate position and the Y coordinate position of the input device by time division based on the first and the second voltage signals.</p> |
