<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operation convenience of an image data transmitting equipment by efficiently transmitting an image signal even when the image signal as a still image is matched with any of a frame still image and a field still image. CONSTITUTION:When the movement of an image signal S1 is detected, still image information SC expressing which is optimum as a still image, a frame still image or a field still image, is multiplexed with coded image data D20 and the multiplexed data are transmitted, the decoding side can generate an optimum image signal S22 from decoded image data D25 as a still image based upon still image information C10.</p> |
