PURPOSE:To efficiently remove a cover coating and corrosion film on the peripheral face of a high-voltage cable by providing a rotating brush means for coming into relative contact with the high-voltage cable from both sides and for grinding and cleaning the surface of the high-voltage cable. CONSTITUTION:This end-periphery grinder of high-voltage cable is constituted by a rotating brush means 1 for coming into relative contact with the high- voltage cable 10 from both sides and for grinding and cleaning the surface of the high-voltage cable 10, by a support means 2 for guiding and supporting the high-voltage cable 10 between rotating wire brushes 6a, 6b and a power supply means for the drive motor of the rotating wire brushes 6a, 6b. Then, when the adjusting screws 9a, 9b of the rotating brush means 1 are driven, a spreader coil spring is compressed to bring the rotating wire brushes 6a, 6b close to each other; and when the adjusting screws 9a, 9b are loosened, the rotating wire brushes 6a, 6b are separated from each other to correspond to the diameter of the high-voltage cable 10 and to cover a cover coating and remove and grind a dirt, etc. |
