The appendage on the stem is formed by a part, protruding under the waterline, with the section transverse to the perpendicular being lozenge shaped (7). The lozenge two lower sides are portions of a curve (8'8") with their concavity downwards and joined at an acute angle. The lozenge two upper sides (7'7") have their concavity turned upwards. The line connecting the two sides of the lozenge forms a rib (9) extending to the rear of the upstream perpendicular and slightly inclined to the horizontal. The plan view of the line is a curve formed of two sections (9,'9") closed at the front, whose width may attain a third of the boat length. USE - Diversion of stem bubble formation so as not to interfere with acoustic apparatus.
