CONSTITUTION:An optical space transmitting equipment 40 corrects the emitting direction of a transmitted optical beam LA1 in a prescribed period after the received optical beam LA2 is received based on the detected result of the beam LA2 detected in a position detection circuit 22 and it can irradiate an opposited object. Thus, the device 40 switches the shutter 42 in a closed state after the lapse of prescribed time after the beam LA2 is detected in the position detection device 20. Then, a servo loop is formed to the transmitted object and a system is switched to a communication mode. When the beams LA1 and LA2 are made incident thereon by reflecting returning light on the corner cube reflector 30, the difference of light quantity is detected and returning light, the transmitting optical beam LA1 and the received optical beam LA2 are identified.
