A digital process is used for the storage of hand-written characters that are then used to generate printed output in handwritten character form. The character storage process involves the digitisation and defining of a set of parameters representative of the specific curves involved. Characters are defined in a form that allows a continuous sequence to be produced. Reproduction of a handwritten string uses the stored information reproduced depending upon specific combinational criteria. ADVANTAGE - Allows reproduction in handwritten style based upon signals.
