The rail combination is used for an adjustable seat in a vehicle. It includes a flange (12) which is formed as a folded shank as part of a one-piece profiled cross-section of a seat support rail (11,13). The flange extends over the total length of the rail. The flange may be part of the guide rail (11) or the runner rail (13). USE/ADVANTAGE - Vehicle seat rail system simplifies production and avoids the thermal stresses which would arise were the flange to be attached by a welding process.
