Milling cutter body with cutting plate retention - has peripheral ring gap between central shaft and outer rim for cutting plate fitting

From the ring gap (5) between the cutter (1) central shaft (3) and the rim (4) for fitting the cutting plates (2) lead bores (8) to the plate retentions. Pref. the ring gap is partly covered by a ring shoulder (7) forming a block for reverse run. The bores are so inclined in the cutter direction of rotation that an inlet (10) is leading and an outlet lagging w.r.t. them. The bores are so inclined against the cutter axis of rotation that the inlet is close to the axis than the outlet. ADVANTAGE - Continuous, uniform cooling, irrespective of milling process.
