<p>In order to improve a medical handpiece, especially for dental surgery, with a lens system which focuses an electromagnetic treatment beam on a focal point outside the handpiece and directs a visible marking beam to mark the treatment beam in the region of its focal point, in such a way that the position of the focal point of the treatment beam can clearly be established and the image projected by the marking beam on the part of the body is clearly visible even without the use of a powerful marking beam source, it is proposed that the medical handpiece comprise optical means splitting the visible marking beam in a bunch of several separate partial beams arranged at a distance one from another and focussing the bunch of partial beams on a focal point close from another and focussing the bunch of partial beams on a focal point close to that of the treatment beam.</p> |
