A plastic liner (1) is provided for use in a vehicle luggage compartment (2). The liner has a bottom (6) conforming generally to the shape of the luggage compartment floor (7), and integral rear (9), side (10) and front (8) walls, at least some of which generally conform to the walls (11, 13, 14) of the luggage compartment. Dividers are provided, including at least one long divider (24) beetween opposite walls of the liner, and at least one short divider (28) between the long divider and another wall. The long divider is reinforced, such as by at least one rib (42) for greater rigidity and strength, and is supported at opposite ends by grooves (40) in the walls of the liner. Each rib is on the side of the long divider opposite the short divider(s), and is continuous from a point at or near one end to a point at or near the other end of the divider. Each short divider has a slot (27) at one end thereof defining a hook portion (25) adapted to hook over the long divider, extending downwardly far enough to overlie at least one of the ribs in a friction fit. |
