The curling aid (1) has a fixture part (3) attaching the curling aid to a divided part of the hair. The fixture part has a one-piece, deformable, flat, textile structure (2). The flat piece of woven textile is permeable to liq. and has a width matching the width of the curler used. The curling aid's length is one and a half to eight times longer than the length of the hair being treated. The fixture part is in the form of a two part hooked pile fastener, with a pad (6) and hook (5) part joined along the lengthwise side of the curling aid. USE/ADVANTAGE - The natural position and/or shape of the hair can be altered, esp. to produce curls or waves.
