The actuator incorporates a drive motor (10). The electrical connection contacts of the motor and a throttle position sensor (11) are formed as soldering terminals. These are distributed within the hollow chamber (24) in the end shield (14), and located in the same plane. A cable duct (26) in the shield ends in the chamber. The core ends of a multicore cable (45) passing sealed through the duct, are each fastened to a soldering terminal. The chamber is almost sealed by a cover (48). The cover carries sealing ribs etc. which engage sealing on the wall around the chamber opening (29). USE/ADVANTAGE - Simplified assembly of IC engine with electrical actuator for throttle flap, giving easy access and simplified soldering of cable ends. Good screening against damp.
