The oil sump (1) is esp. designed for use with vehicle engines, both of the Otto and of the Diesel type. It is intended to keep the lubricating oil at a reasonably const. operating temp. during normal operation. The sump has an outer jacket, which is capable of heat absorption. The thermal jacket is sealed by a non-heat absorbent insulation layer. USE/ADVANTAGE - Easier and improved IC engine lubrication during starting phase. Oil cooling due to energy absorption by thermal jacket. Stable and optimum oil temp. during normal running of the vehicle.
