<p>A television (TV) stand (10) which facilitates the support, placement and removal of a TV, particularly a large screen TV, includes a horizontal panel (11), panel supporting structures (12, 13, 14, 51) and opposed pairs of upstanding sidewalls (24, 26) that are attached to and extend upwardly beyond the panel. One pair of these sidewalls (27, 28) has members fixed in an upright configuration while the other pair has members (24, 26) which are pivotal. The pivotal wall members (24, 26) are each engageable with the fixed wall members (27, 28) by latch assemblies (33, 34).</p> |
