Mudguard with spray protection for truck - has double walled construction with large pore material between walls to absorb water and sound

The mudguard profile is covered on the inside with layers of a wide porosity material (7) which allows passage of water. The inside surface of the material is covered with a large porosity layer to complete the mudguard. The system is used for the front- and rear sections of the mudguard as well as the outer section. The inner surface of the mudguard has a parallel pattern of ribs which duct the collected water down towards the inner side of the wheel. Similar ribbing on the side facing the wheel also duct the water inwards. The pores of the material cover approx 50 percent of the surface area on the incident side of the material. USE/ADVANTAGE - The porous material used in a truck mudguard has a min. of reflection for water spray and provides an improved absorber of spray and sound.
