The face and eye-shield part (2) is in the form of a cylinder (8) divided by a viewing window (10) into an end section (11) on the side of the protective helmet, and a flow section (12). An air current (20) is directed on to the flow section outlet surface (18) on the side away from the helmet. The window has a nozzle part (13) in the form of a ring connected by a pressurised air pipe (5) to a source of pressurised air. The nozzle ring has a number of jets each of which has a cone covering the outlet surface at least from the outer edge to the middle. USE/ADVANTAGE - The shield protects the face and eyes of someone spraying concrete by incorporating a viewing window.
