A process and a device for the collection and separation of waste in fish-farming bags 1 in open water and comprising a collecting and separating device 2-4 having a collecting plate 2 containing a number of conical, open- bottomed 13 collecting receptacles 12, a storage plate 4 disposed beneath the collecting plate 2 and having continuous slots 19 to a duct or pipe system 5 containing a supply line 6 for pressurized wash water and a drainage line 7 for collected effluent, and a valve device 3 disposed between the collecting plate 2 containing the conical receptacles 12 and the storage plate 4 containing the duct or pipe system 5, which valve device is arranged normally to reside in the open position but to be closable whenever waste is washed out from the pipe system 5. The device is mounted beneath a fish-farming bag 9 and also comprises a shutter member which denies wild fish access to the region beneath the fish-farming bag 9. <IMAGE> |
