Vehicle footbrake anti-theft device

The Vehicle Footbrake Anti Theft Device locks the footbrake pedal in the down position by means of pivot arm 2 located in top box 1 which is securely bolted to vehicle steering column support bracket. The pivot arm 2 is locked in position by means of a tumblerlock 4. The pivot arm 2 pivots on pivot pin 10. When pivot arm 2 is lifted up at the front the rear in turn goes down pushing connecting arm 6 and bolt pin 7 on to the depressed foot pedal. The bolt pin 7 is held and guided by two slots either side of the bottom box 3 of which straddles the footbrake and is securely bolted to the vehicle floor and bulkhead.
