PURPOSE:To compress recording data on a speech and make the music reproducing device small in size and inexpensive by converting recording the data on the speech into character codes. CONSTITUTION:The music reproducing device is equipped with a character data recording part 4 which records a character code string, a speech synthesis part 5 which converts the character code string recorded by the character data recording part 4 into a speech, and a synchronization part 8 which indicates the timing between a music playing part 2 and the speech synthesis part 5. Then the speech synthesis part 5 converts the characters sent at a specified speed into a speech signal and sends it to a synthesizing amplification part 6. Consequently, the musical sound generated by the musical sound playing part 3 and the speech generated by the speech synthesis part 5 are synchronized with each other and sent from the synthesizing amplification part 6 to an output part 7. Thus, the speech data are recorded as the character code string and the speech is generated from the character code string. The speech data can, therefore, be coded and recorded similarly to MIDI(Musical Instrument Digital Interface) data on a musical sound and the data can greatly be compressed. |
