PURPOSE:To communicate an auxiliary combustion chamber with a main combustion chamber through an auxiliary communication hole, and thereby uniformly mix combustion jet flow from the auxiliary combustion chamber with air in the main combustion chamber by means of the two step releasing of a control valve so as to be well burnt. CONSTITUTION:The gas engine allows fuel gas to be fed into an auxiliary combustion chamber 2 with a fuel feed valve 5 released, and also allows a main combustion chamber 1 and the auxiliary combustion chamber 2 to be communicated with each other through a main communication hole 30. A control valve 4 is provided with a projected section closing the main communication hole 20, and with a valve face closing the auxiliary communication hole 30. The control valve 4 allows combustion jet flow to be blown off in the outer circumferential direction of a piston by an electromagnetic drive means 25 with the auxiliary communication hole 30 released first, allows combustion jet flow to be hit against the apex of the piston 15 with the main communication hole 20 released next, and also allows aforesaid jet flow to be forwarded to the peripheral direction of the main combustion chamber to be uniformly mixed with air, so that combustion is thereby accelerated. |
