PURPOSE:To provide the electronic musical instrument with the numeric input function at a low price by switching a switching means so that a 2nd setting means operates when numeric input becomes necessary. CONSTITUTION:For the numeric input, timbre switches 21-27 or effect switches 28-30 are pressed with a numeric input changeover switch 41 pressed, numerals assigned to the switches 21-30 are selected, and the depression of the numeric input changeover switch 41 is stopped to press to set the numerals. Then a deciding process for deciding whether or not there is an ON event is performed as to the numeric input changeover switch 41 first and when the decision result is 'Yes', a timbre and effect input mode is switched to a numeric input mode since the numeric input changeover switch 41 is newly turned ON. When the decision result is 'No', on the other hand, it is decided whether or not there is an OFF event, a numeral which is currently inputted is regarded as a set value in the numeric input mode, and then the numeric input mode is switched to the timbre and effect input mode. |
