ARRANGEMENT FOR SPEED REGULATION OF ELECTRIC MOTOR

The apparatus is for measuring the speed of encoder type motors with precision in wide speed range using a latch and a multiplexer. The apparatus comprises an exclusive OR gate (10) for generating quadruple pulses of the pulses of the encoder (2), a counter (40) for counting the quadruple pulses and producing the divided signals by exponents of 2, a multiplexer (60) for selecting one of the outputs of the counter according to the output signals of a latch (50), a microcomputer (100) for controlling the output signals of the latch (50) to increase or to decrease according to the difference between the period of the output pulses of the multiplexer and the reference period.
