<p>PURPOSE:To provide a human body detecting device for an indoor luminaire controlled preferably for a person staying in a room by providing a detecting means of the infrared rays emitted from the person in the room. CONSTITUTION:When a person enters the detection visual field of a human body detecting device A, the infrared rays emitted from the surface of a human body are collected on the light reception section of a thermo-pile 5 by a lens. The output of the thermo-pile 5 is increased, and it indicates the nearly maximum value when the person is seated on a sofa. If a certain value is set as a threshold value in advance, it is compared with the output of the thermo-pile 5 in a signal processor 7 to judge the presence of the person. When the human body detecting device A on the upper left side detects the human body, for example, a block lighting means 3 on the upper left side is lighted. When the human body detecting device A on the upper right side detects the human body on the contrary, the block lighting means 3 on the upper right side is lighted.</p> |
