INK COMPOSITION FOR WATER-FREE LIHTOGRAPHIC PRINTING

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition highly improved in greasing resistance, excellent in printing suitability, and extremely high in utility. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is characterized by adding powdery silica having an average particle diameter of 2-50nm in an amount of 0.01-20wt.% to an ink composition. The powdery silica is preferably produced by reacting a volatile silicon compound such as pure silicon tetrachloride in a gaseous phase. The composition is preferably further compounded with an organic metal gelling agent such as aluminum isopropylate or tetraisopropyl titanate in an amount of 0 01-5wt.%. Materials used for general lithographic printing inks may be used as other components.
