PURPOSE: To easily and most rapidly conduct spool replacement in a multi- station textile machine. CONSTITUTION: The multi-station textile machine, more particularly a double twister or a cabling machine, has the spool containers arranged in one row adjacent to each other in order to accept feed spools. Guide rails of a continuously or intermittently driven endless conveyor extend in tight contact with the outer periphery of a machine frame and have spool holders for transporting the feed spools. The lowermost position of the feed spools transported to the spool holders regulate the horizontal plane existing at substantially the same height as the plane regulated by the front surface to the spool container. The spool holders part from each other by a distance of 3 to 8 times the distance between the adjacent spool containers.
