PURPOSE:To uniformalize visual angle characteristic and to reduce the luminance nonuniformity of a screen by providing two sheets of phase difference film, and setting an angle formed between the polarizing axis of a second polarizing plate and the extension axis of a second sheet of phase difference film at a specific angle. CONSTITUTION:The two sheets of phase difference film whose drawing directions are intersected orthogonally are provided on at least a liquid crystal panel 55(g 2) for G only between a transference substrate on an emission side that is the constituent of the liquid crystal panel, and the polarizing plate on the emission side neighboring to the transference substrate. The angle formed between the polarizing axis of the polarizing plate on the emission side and the drawing axis of the phase difference film neighboring to the polarizing plate is set at 30-60 deg. or 120-150 deg., and connector terminals CR, CG, and CB which form the routes of the signals R, G, and B of the liquid crystal panel are loaded advancing one side plane of a liquid crystal projector. |
