PURPOSE:To adjust the emitted light quantity of a stroboscope so that appropri ate exposure may be attained. CONSTITUTION:Emitted light quantity data for fixing the emitted light quantity of a discharge tube 45 is decided based on a distance to an object and a diaphragm value. When a power source switch 21 is turned on and photographing by the stroboscope is performed, a main capacitor J13 is charged. When a shutter release button 22 is depressed at a first stage, a switch circuit 47 is turned off and the main capacitor 43 is inhibited from being charged. The elapsed time from depressing the button 22 at the first stage till depressing it at a second stage is measured by a timer 6. The emitted light quantity data for fixing the emitted light quantity of the stroboscope is corrected based on the elapsed time. The corrected emitted light quantity data is given to an emitted light quantity control circuit 30 and the emitted light quantity of the discharge tube 45 is fixed. |
