PURPOSE:To obtain high image quality in a simple constitution by including a magnet inside a photosensitive body, sticking a developer and removing the developer in a nonimage part with an electrode roller arranged in a gap narrower than a developer layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body 9 having the magnet 10 inside is electrified by a corona electrifier 11 and irradiated with laser light 13 to form an electrostatic latent image. Toner 15 is stuck on the surface of the photosensitive body 9 in a developer storage reservoir 14, the toner layer of a prescribed thickness is formed by a developer regulating plate 16 and the photosensitive body 9 passes in front of an electrode roller 17. At this time, a specific distance between the electrode roller 17 and the photosensitive body 9 is set. An AC voltage is applied on the electrode roller 17, the toner on the nonimage part on the photosensitive body 9 is transferred to the side of the electrode roller and only an image part is left. The toner stuck on an electrode roller 17 is scraped by a scraper 19. In other words, first, the developer layer of an excess thickness is formed on the photosensitive body 9 and later, the developer is recovered by the bare electrode roller 27, so that a flat uniform image can be obtained on the photosensitive body 9. |
