A flooring structure comprising (a) an exothermic body for heating purposes laid in a space provided under a floor, and (b) a heat accumulating material having viscoelastic and/or elastic properties and capable of retaining water therein, which is filled into the pace, and a method of constructing the floor structure are disclosed.
