<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method for laying a subaqueous sunken pipe such as a subaqueous pipeline with safety, reliability and ease. CONSTITUTION:Floats 12 and weight chains 13 are arranged at predetermined intervals on a sunken pipe 10. Buoyancy and gravity are balanced in a state where the chains 13 are slackened with the lower ends thereof in contact with the water bottom 11. The pipe 10 is towed to a laying position along the water bottom 11 in a state slightly floated apart above the water bottom 11, and then, the floats 12 are detached so that the pipe is sunk.</p> |
