PURPOSE:To accurately detect the remaining quantity of toner in a developer container. CONSTITUTION:An AC power source 33 and a DC power source 35 are connected to a developing sleeve 23. A capacitor is formed of the developing sleeve 23 and a stirring member 29 opposed to the sleeve 23, and the electrostatic capacity is detected by a remaining quantity detection means 30. A stirring member 29 has a spiral part 29b, and the toner is stirred well along a rotary shaft 29a by the rotation of the spiral part 29b. Then, the spiral part 29b has the closest part 29c where it comes closest to the sleeve 23 by fixed number (three in figure) regardless of rotation. It means that the posture of the spiral part 29b to the sleeve 23 is not changed even though the spiral part 29b is rotated. Thus, the change of the electrostatic capacity accurately corresponds to the change of the remaining quantity of the toner. |
