PURPOSE: To provide the titled polymer fiber having a high melting point and a good rubber adhesion which is composed of core-sheath fibers contg. different types of polyesters, wherein the core has a high melting point and the sheath contains an unsatd. dicarboxylic acid component such as alkyl maleic acid. CONSTITUTION: Unsatd. copolyester having a high melting point comprises polyester or copolyester having a high melting point as a core polymer and unsatd. copolyester having a high melting point which is prepared by using one or more unsatd. dicarboxylic acid co-component comprising at least 2 mole % based on the dicarboxylic acid component of alkyl maleic acid having 1-18C alkyl group and/or alkylene succinic acid having 1-18C alkylene group and/or these polyester forming derivatives as an sheath polymer. The unsatd. copolyester is spun and removed from blowing and spinning passages to prepare filament yarns, and thereafter processed furthermore by a known method. Thereby, the objective polyester yarns composed of core-outer shell fibers having two different polyesters and having a good rubber adhesion are obtained. |
