PURPOSE:To obtain a method for producing a three-dimensional netlike assembly in which the solid netlike assembly used as a filter medium, etc., for treating sewage, especially the spherical three-dimensional netlike assembly is readily obtained. CONSTITUTION:This method for producing a three-dimensional netlike assembly is to extrude a synthetic resin material having a moderate viscosity in a molten state through a nozzle 2, form many wires 3, simultaneously take off the wires while being unsolidified at a lower speed than the extrusion speed, thereby make the respective wires meander, gather the wires into a three-dimensional netlike form while mutually bonding the wires in the intact molten state and then cool and solidify the wires. In the step for cooling and solidifying the wires in the method, the netlike assembly 11 is inserted into a recessed part 7 of a metallic mold 6, bent in the form or a circular arc and equipped with the recessed part 7 of a nearly semicircular cross section along the inner surface, passed along the recessed part 7 while being bent into the form of the circular arc with protrusions 10 provided in a rotating shaft 9 and thereby solidified so as to provide the nearly semicircular cross section thereof. The solidified netlike assembly 11 is subsequently cut to a suitable length and the cut surfaces of both ends are mated and integrally joined. |
