PURPOSE:To obtain a method for finishing, capable of simultaneously imparting antistatic performance and water repellent and oil repellent performances having durability to a polyester fiber. CONSTITUTION:A treating liquid containing a polyethylene glycol-based resin and water-soluble polyester resin is applied to a polyester fiber and the treated fiber is dried and treated with a low temperature plasma of nonpolymerizing gas and then subjected to water-repellent and oil repellent treatment.
