PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory copy image by making the photo-sensitive layer coating width of a photosensitive body shorter than the width of the substrate of that. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic device uses a transfer/carry belt 13 capable of holding charges. The photosensitive layer coating width is made shorter than the width of the substrate of the photosensitive body 2. The width of a development unit 10 including a development sealing width is made almost equal to the width of the transfer/carry belt 13. The width of the transfer/carry belt 13 is made longer than the width of a photosensitive body cleaning blade 17. The width of a belt cleaning blade 14 is made longer than the width of the photosensitive body cleaning blade 17.
