PURPOSE:To prevent the uneven destaticization generated by adhesion of a developing material, paper dust, dust, etc., on the rear surface of a photosensitive body by providing the constitution in which a wiping material consisting of a material having an electrical conductivity is rubbed to the rear surface of the photosensitive material on the rear surface of the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning member 17 consisting of a felt material having the electrical conductivity on a core material consisting of a metallic material is brought into contact under a prescribed contact pressure with the rear surface of the photosensitive body 1 on the rear surface side of the endless belt-like photosensitive body 1. The cleaning member 17 is fixed to a machine frame and is rubbed to the rear surface of the photosensitive body 1 by non-rotational contact. As a result, the stains, such as developer, paper dust and dust sticking to the rear surface of the photosensitive body 1 are wiped and removed by the cleaning member 17. The felt material which is a rubbing material has the electrical conductivity and, therefore, the increase in the potential on the rear surface of the photosensitive body 1 by the triboelectrostatic charge with the cleaning member 17 is suppressed. The cleaning member 17 is not limited to this position and the point of the installation thereof is not limited to one point. The installation of the cleaning member at plural points is equally well. |
